Kyle suffers from the most severe form of a condition called chronic cluster headaches. To most people this condition sounds minorheadaches. To Kyle it is life changing and debilitating. The nickname for this condition is suicide headaches because many of those who suffer from the severe chronic form unfortunately take their lives to end the pain and suffering they endure. Women who suffer from this severe form say it is worse than the pain of giving birth. Kyle's pain level on a day to day basis is a constant 7 with medication and can no longer function on a day to day basis. He can no longer work, take care of himself, or even enjoy things like visiting with family or listening to music anymore as they are a trigger for him to go from a pain level of 7 into a seizure that can last from hours to days. He has been going to Mayo clinic for help and has recently been getting more severe that he has not been able to make the car ride without having a seizure. He cannot fly due to the pressure on the brain. At this point car rides are major triggers, amongst so many other things, and could start to require medical transport. He and his mom have recently lost their home due to continued expenses and are staying with family and really need the help with the extra medical expenses. Kyle has to undergo a surgery that is called neuromodulation, in which a stimulator will be placed at the base of his skull. He will need to travel to a hospital in Ohio to have this surgery, because this is the only location in the United States with the capability to perform this. The surgery will be in November or December 2015. Until that time, Kyle will still be having a number of trips each month to Rochester Mayo Clinic for preoperative testing (when he can handle it). Post-surgery, he will need to stay in Ohio for a while, and his family members will need to stay at a nearby hotel. Additionally, Kyle will have to return to Ohio for follow-up care after his surgery. Please join on us September 26th, 2015, for a benefit to raise funds for Kyles trip expenses to Ohio.

He is a loving husband and father of seven children! He is a passionate philanthropist and shares an inspiring story of family, faith and football. We are also looking forward to having Dale Ryman as our emcee for the evening. He has been the sports director at NewsChannel 7 since 2009. The evening will consist of a silent auction, a wonderful dinner, and an engaging speaker. Expect some fun decor and festivities as we incorporate the sports theme.
