WGLX Can-Am Highway Song of the Day Ryker Contest

These contest rules are specific to the WGLX “Can-Am Highway Song of the Day Ryker” Contest (the “Contest”) conducted by NRG Media, LLC d/b/a WGLX (the “Company” or the “Station”). Except to the extent specifically set forth below with respect to this specific contest, the Station’s general contest rules apply to this contest. A copy of these specific contest rules and the Station’s general contest rules are available at the Station’s studio at 2301 Plover Road, Plover, WI  54467 during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and on the contest page on the Station’s website at www.wglx.com. These rules are intended to supplement the General Contest rules, however, to the extent that the general contest rules differ from these rules, these rules will govern and control with respect to this Contest.

No purchase necessary. Listeners must be residents of the State of Wisconsin, who are 21 years of age or older as of 03/25/19 to enter this contest.

When:

The WGLX Can-Am Highway Song of the Day Ryker Contest will run from 03/25/19 through 05/16/19.The winner of the contest will be determined on 05/16/19.

Qualifiers for the Grand Prize Giveaway will need to be present on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at LOCATION at TIME for the Giveaway even.

 Who Can Enter:

To enter, contestants must be residents of the State of Wisconsin, who are 21 years of age or older. See General Contest Rules for additional restrictions.

How to Play:

Method #1:

Listen to WGLX during the contest period (3/25/19 – 05/10/19) weekdays for the “WGLX Can-Am Highway Song of the Day” to be played. The Song of the Day (Song) will be announced on-air during the Bob and Tom Show 5am – 10am. The Song will also be posted on www.wglx.com sometime after 10am. When you hear that track played later that same day on WGLX, be caller number 21 to the studio line (715-345-WGLX or 1-800-424-9459). If you are caller 21, you will be qualified to participate in the Grand Prize Giveaway. You may only qualify once for the WGLX Can-Am Highway Song of the Day Trike Contest.

 Method #2:

Listeners are encouraged to stop by participating Schierl Tire and Service Centers when the Ryker is on display.Take a picture on or by the Ryker and posting the photo to their Facebook page with the #WGLXTicketToRide. You MUST include yourself in the photo. The Facebook post MUST be public and include the hash tag #WGLXTicketToRide. There will be 2 photos chosen from each stop to be qualified for the Can-Am Ryker. Listeners are encouraged to check www.wglx.com for the location schedule.

Method #3

Listeners who did not qualify on-air or on Facebook will have one final chance to try to get qualified for the Grand Prize. They can come out on Thursday, May 16th to Donahue Super Sports located at 6821 Plover Road, Wisconsin Rapids, 54494. They can  complete entry forms with their name, address, telephone number, email address, and date of birth.  Five (5) entries will be drawn from the registration box. This event will be on Thursday, May 16th, 2019 at Donahue Super Sports location 6821 Plover Road, Plover, WI 54494. Check-In will start at 6pm. Everyone MUST be Checked in by 7pm.  Anyone who checks-in after 7pm will not be part of the giveaway. Giveaway will begin shortly after 7pm.

A total of 86 qualifiers will be eligible to participate in the Grand Prize Giveaway Event.

Grand Prize Giveaway Event:

On 5/16/19, all qualifiers will gather at the Grand Prize Giveaway Event at Thursday, May 16th to Donahue Super Sports located at 6821 Plover Road, Wisconsin Rapids, 54494. Check-In will start at 6pm. Everyone MUST be Checked in by 7pm.  Anyone who checks-in after 7pm will not be part of the giveaway. Giveaway will begin shortly after 7pm. All qualifiers/proxies will need to check in with a photo id. Once everyone is checked in each eligible qualifier will be handed a sealed envelope. Qualifiers shall not open the envelope until instructed to do so. Anyone that opens/tampers with it before said time will be disqualified. Every qualifier that registers at the event on time will be given a sealed envelope, a maximum of 86 participants.

After everyone is handed an envelope, a WGLX jock will give instructions to open it.  If the envelope contains a card that says “WGLX Let’s Ride,” that qualifier will move on to the next round.  One half of the qualifiers in the first round will move on to the second round, up to 43 second round qualifiers.  If there are an uneven number of qualifiers in the first round, a majority of qualifiers will move on to the next round.

In Round 2, the qualifiers who moved on will again receive an envelope.  If this envelope contains a card that says “WGLX Let’s Ride,” they will again move to the next round, which will be conducted in the same manner as the previous 2 rounds.  10 (ten) qualifiers will move forward from Round 2 to Round 3.

The 10 qualifiers in Round 3 will each receive an envelope to open when instructed.  The qualifier who has the card in their envelope that reads “WGLX Can-Am Winner” will win the Grand Prize of the Can-Am Ryker.

Contestants may enter as often as they wish, unless specified otherwise.

Station Management shall be the sole arbiters in all matters relating to the contest and in the interpretation of contest rules.  The decisions of Station Management shall be final.  Entry into the contests constitutes agreement by contestant to abide by these rules, as well as any other rules established by the Station.

Grand Prize:

The Grand Prize Winner will receive: A 2019 Can-Am Ryker from Donahue.  Total Value $9,000.

The Grand Prize winner is responsible for paying all applicable taxes, port fees and will be issued an IRS 1099 form.

Station reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for all contests and giveaways.  Prizes are not redeemable for cash.  No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.

Prizes not claimed within 30 days of being awarded, or in the case of a time-sensitive prize, within its period of usability, shall be considered forfeited and will become property of the Station.  Such a prize may be disposed of at the discretion of Station Management.

Winners are responsible for paying all applicable local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prize, as set forth in the contest rules. Winners will need to complete an IRS form W9 and will be issued an IRS 1099 form for all prizes won from the Station where the aggregate value of all prizes is $600 or more.

By participating, all participants and winner(s) grant the Company exclusive permission to use their names, characters, photographs, voices, and likenesses in connection with promotion of this and other contests and waive any claims to royalty, right, or remuneration for such use. By participating in the Contest, participants agree that the Company may disclose to third parties personal information obtained from participants in the Contest, including but not limited to name and city of residence, and use such information for marketing and other purposes on a worldwide basis in perpetuity.

 Odds of Winning/Miscellaneous

Odd of winning depend on number of entries and qualifiers in attendance at the Grand Prize Giveaway Event.

Station is not responsible for crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters, Acts of God or man. Station is not responsible for any error or technical malfunctions associated that may affect any entrant’s ability to enter, win, or be properly considered in this Contest, regardless of the cause.

Station contests are subject to all applicable laws and regulations and are void where prohibited.

Station reserves the right to change, alter or modify these rules at any time with or without written notice.  Material changes to the contest rules will be broadcast on-air, when practical.

Station reserves the right to end or stop any contest at any time and for any reason.

Station and contest sponsors are not responsible for a contestant’s inability to acquire transportation to a location to compete in an event, personal circumstances prohibiting participation in a contest or other circumstances beyond their control. Winners may make no substitution or transfer of prize. Nothing in any contest is intended to create or imply any contractual, fiduciary or other rights for the contestant or obligations, except as expressly stated by Station.

Unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening behavior is prohibited, and anyone behaving in such manner will be disqualified from participating in the contest and asked to leave any event associated with the Contest.

Station acts as an agent only and does not control the various aspects of prize including the game reserve, the hunt itself, transportation, lodging or meals.

Winner, on his own behalf and on behalf of Winner’s heirs, successors or assigns, in consideration of participation in a contest, and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, does hereby COVENANT TO FULLY RELEASE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE  NRG Media, WGLX, contest sponsors, and each of their subsidiaries, affiliates, related entities, directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives, from and against any and all actions, charges, claims, losses, costs, damages, expenses (including attorneys’ fees and expenses) and liabilities of any kind or character, whether known or unknown, in connection with, arising out of or in any way related to Winner’s participation in or winning of any contest and/or acceptance, award, ownership or use of prize after it is awarded.

Persons who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be disqualified.

ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY CIRCUMVENT, DISRUPT OR DAMAGE ORDINARY AND NORMAL OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST, TELEPHONE SYSTEMS OR WEBSITE, OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, COMPANY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPATE TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
