  • Aerosmith Bassist Brad Whitford says he doesn't know why the band is embarking on a farewell tour. Now, we could be all kinds of snarky and say "Because you're all old!" But at the same time, do we really want to see our heroes call it quits when they can still perform at a high level? Plus- how many bands have we seen go on a farewell tour only to continue making music and touring afterwards? (I'm looking right at you, KISS, Scorpions and Ozzy...) It almost seems like a rip-off when you go to see a farewell tour, and then that same band is on the road the next year. It almost seems like a sneaky marketing ploy to sell more tickets, if you ask me.
