The Women's Community Presents Our Third Annual "Hooray For Hollywood!"

This fun-filled evening will include a silent auction, cocktails, dinner and a live auction. Come dressed as your favorite movie character or like you are going to the Oscars. Cocktails start at 5 PM and dinner is at 7 PM. Reservations for this fundraiser are $50 in advance, $55 at the door. Global Gear Drive

Wisconsin Rapids and Port Edwards YMCA's

A drive to collect gently used sports equipment and apparel for children in third world countries. Any sports equipment is acceptable, including cleats, though they are most in need of basketball, baseball, and soccer equipment. Other items such as uniforms and apparel are appreciated and accepted as well. Collection boxes are available at the Wisconsin Rapids and Port Edward's YMCA's which will serve as drop off points in the community.

I Bought a Bone Campaign

Purpose: to raise money to support the Portage County Humane Society.

Idea: customers of The Store convenience stores throughout Portage County will purchase a paper bone for $1.00 each and sign it. All bones will be displayed inside The Store throughout the promotional period

Proceeds: funds raised will go to the Humane Society of Portage County

The King and I

SPASH high School is performing the musical “The King and I” on March 18th-21st. Performances on the 18th,19th and 20th are at 7pm. March 21st is a 2pm show. Tickets are $8.00 . Students and Senior Citizens are $5.00.

YMCA Lactic Edge Triathlon - Presented by Cellcom

The Lactic Edge Triathlon is held at Bukolt Park in Stevens Point, WI. The race consists of a 500 yd swim, 17 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run. Registration and Check-in will be held on July 9th from 4:00-6:00pm and July 10th from 6:30-8:00am. The race begins at 8:30am. Relay teams, teen triathlon, and kids triathlon are available.
