10 Songs I'm Thankful For This Thanksgiving
0 0

This week is Thanksgiving – a time to be thankful for all you have. One of the things in my life that I am very thankful for is music. So, I decided to put together a list of a few of the Classic Rock songs I am thankful for. It may be a song that makes me happy, a song that got me through a tough time, or just a song that brings to mind a great memory.

10. Warrant – Cherry Pie

Ok, so I like this song just because it has the word “pie” in the title.

9. Metallica – Enter Sandman

Every time I hear this one, it takes me back to the time I saw Metallica live. It was an amazing concert, and easily makes my Top 5 Concerts Of All Time list.

8. Led Zeppelin – Moby Dick

This is an amazing instrumental track that never disappoints.

7. Heart – Barracuda

This female fronted hard driving song showed me that women can rock, too! It also paved the way for more female rockers – something I am very thankful for.

6. Steppenwolf – Born To Be Wild

Because everyone needs a theme-song, right?

5. Black Sabbath – Iron Man

I mean, it’s Iron Man.

4. AC/DC – Back In Black

This is the first song I played when I started working in Rock radio.

3. Aerosmith – Dream On

I don’t know what it is about this song, but it’s one that I could listen to over and over again.

2. Motley Crue – Kickstart My Heart

I crank this one up every time it comes on. It’s also one of my go-to driving songs.

1. Led Zeppelin – Immigrant Song

I also come from the land of Ice and Snow, so I relate to this song on a personal level. And really, is anyone surprised that I have more than one Led Zeppelin song on my list?
